Challenged to renovate an outdated kitchen with limited space and an impractical layout, the Dixon Projects team exercised thoughtful planning and attention-to-detail to bring the heart of this home back to life. The end result is a modern kitchen costing under $40,000 upon completion.

Strapped for space, the team began by devising a layout change, which included relocating the refrigerator and adding a new L-section with a charming breakfast bar. Maneuvering through existing conditions like an abundance of wall cutouts, soffits, and the kitchen’s baseboard heating, the layout change required hyper-customized planning and attention-to-detail from top to bottom. On site construction management and complete project oversight streamlined the kitchen’s smooth transition as the team efficiently worked around these challenges.

To modernize the kitchen, the team added brand-new dark wood cabinetry, replacing old wood to create a sleeker design. Going around each bend and corner, the team meticulously applied gorgeous crown molding to accent the new custom cabinetry.

To complement the dark, rich wood, the team lined the kitchen floor with treated white oak hardwood. Driven by creative solutions and a rigorous attention-to-detail, this remodeled kitchen showcases new appliances and an updated layout, resulting in a welcoming haven for future residents.
